Del Mar
The coastal city of Del Mar is situated just north of La Jolla and south of Solana Beach. About 4,300 (2016) people call this scenic paradise, home. Del Mar is probably best known for The Del Mar Fairgrounds, located just west of the 5 Freeway. It is home to the second largest, and one of the most beautiful, horse racing locales on the west coast. Also located at the fairgrounds is The Del Mar Golf Center and The Del Mar Horse Park.
The Del Mar Fairgrounds hosts several events a year, including the famous Del Mar Races and The San Diego County Fair (formerly the Del Mar Fair). Every year, more than a million San Diego residents and people from all over, visit the Del Mar Fairgrounds to enjoy these and countless other events. Just east of The Del Mar Fairgrounds, on the other side of the 5 Freeway, is Flower Hill Promenade and The Del Mar Shopping Center where you can find specialty shops, boutiques and restaurants.
South of The Fairgrounds, on the west side, you can find Del Mar Plaza. Many of the restaurants and shops in this plaza have sweeping views of the ocean. Some popular eateries here are Il Fornaio, Pacifica Del Mar and Del Mar Rendezvous. The Del Mar Art Center is also located here.
Like all of San Diego’s coastal communities, the weather and picturesque scenery is what makes living here so desirable. Whatever your architectural style, traditional or more modern, you can find it in Del Mar. Coastal living with modern conveniences at your fingertips.
Del Mar Real Estate offers luxury attached and detached homes that range from the high $900,000’s to $20,000,000 plus.
